I was dumb-founded to hear a person at my son’s school, someone involved in his care and support while he’s in that building, say:
It’s disturbing and unfair to the other boys [classmates] when Tim has an episode during class.
I replied to her that this entire ordeal isn’t fair to Tim, either, and if he could avoid falling on the floor and shaking in school, he certainly would. I’m sorry that he has to go through that, and I’m sorry anyone has to ever witness frightening things, but life just isn’t always fair by our understanding, is it?
Don’t mess with me, I’m his mother and no one wants life to be simpler for him than me.
