Encouragement for Tim

Dear friends,

I know many of you are already praying for our son, and we really appreciate that. I thought I’d start a place to collect encouragement for him as we wait for test results and a more specific diagnosis and course of treatment.

For those who may not know, he’s having pretty constant “abnormal involuntary movement” of his right forearm and hand. Makes it difficult to do anything much, as he’s right handed; so he’s missing playing he guitar or trumpet, and video games. Overall the condition is distracting, so boredom is rampant. It’s also frustrating and scary to not be able to control something as “every day” as your dominant hand while the doctors have no idea what is causing this and hope it will “go away as quickly as it started.”

A guy in Tim’s situation could use some encouragement, so if you have a sec, please post and let him know you’re rooting for him, and praying for him too.

Hey! I was in a similar situation when I was 21 (only 5 years ago) and being in limbo while doctors try to figure out a situation that provides so much discomfort is definitely frustrating and scary. I am definitely praying for you during all of this. If you want to talk, your mom has my e-mail address. I hope you’re being surrounded by lots of love and support. Know that I’ve got a team of friends praying for you here in the great state of PA!

    Take care,

    Hey Tim!

I know this is so scary and uncertain for you right now. I hope that it helps to know that folks are praying for you all over the country.

It doesn’t matter that we haven’t met – we share the same Father. I’m praying that He will wrap you up in His arms and you’ll feel our love and His love.

Waiting and wondering and worrying stinks. But I want you to know that you’re not alone.

We love you ‘cuz you’re Tim. And we’re walking right here beside you. Whenever you get most discouraged, ask God to show you something to show you He loves you. Then know that whatever he shows you is also filled with love from all of us.

Hey man, I just wanted you to know you are being prayed for here in Alabama (my
family and friends are praying too). My daughter was born about 3 months ago
and she was 3 months early — the prayers from those around the country are what
kept us going and we KNOW prayer works! Each night as my husband, daughter and
I get ready to go to sleep we include you specifically in our prayers. You are
loved, Tim, by so many who may not have even met you. Prayers for you, your
family, and the doctors so you are better and home without symptoms VERY soon!

Hey, Tim. Your mom first told the Girlfriends about what’s going on. I’ve been praying for the docs to figure it all out. Know the Great Physician is watching out for you and has a plan. Hold tight to Him and let Him show you what He wants you to learn from this. :-)
