I really enjoy the wit and wisdom in the art from the Adventures of ASBO Jesus. Today’s installment is the perfect description of my feelings about the sub-zero and single-digit temperatures we’ve been having. (you can click it to see it full-size)

ha! I’m in upstate new york with a foot of snow and a balmy 13 degrees at the moment! However, TN is where we’ve talked about moving when my hubby retires precisely because there are seasons but not the extremes. We’re familiar with the panic, though, we lived in NC for a while and a flurry caused havoc for days!

I wasn’t paying attention to the calendar. It was just a cold, blistery saturday afternoon. (shortly after our ice storm) and I picked up Samuel from work and said

“That’s IT! I’m done with winter! NO MORE! Winter is OVER!”

He looked at me rather alarmed. Looked at his watch and said “Mom, I hate to tell you, but winter only officially began 3 hours and 45 minutes ago”

It was the first day of winter. I’m in trouble.
