Guilty as Charged

bagheadWith the exception of one post, I took 2012 off from blogging. Thanks to those of you who asked about it. Thanks to those of you who see this in your RSS reader or email and are happily surprised. There are a lot of reasons why I stopped, but nothing about which you’d care much. So, we’ll just move on noting that I’m wearing a bag on my head and feeling exceedingly guilty of blog abandonment.

It’s a new day. I hope you’ll come along with me on a new beginning.

I have a few goals for the re-start, but I’ll need your help.

  • More posts (duh, you say)
  • More interaction (that’s your part, the comments are always open)
  • More responsiveness to your suggestions (there’s a new contact page and I’m listening!)

One of the ways I’ll generate more content here is via Bishop Bill Love’s challenge for all of  in the Episcopal Diocese of Albany to read the whole bible during 2013. My plan is to read a book each week, combining smaller ones to finish in 52 weeks. I’ll post my thoughts as I go with the hope that we can interact about the reading. I’m going to be using The ESV Study Bible (affiliate link) for this, and I invite you to come along.

Happy New Blog Beginning!

    Hi Patti,
I am going to be reading the same ESV Study Bible to do the same thing. Perhaps we will compare notes along the way.

I already read the entire Bible but I bet you did already too.

I have, Mary, a few times. But, I’ve found that any time I study the text I learn more or see something I hadn’t noticed before.

Welcome back to the BLOG-O-SPHERE — where everything comes around again?

As the CIC of JJ, I’m interested in everything you do. (I need fodder for our fellow alums.)

HNY, (I read the Bible twice, but thought it was “interesting”. Uneven. Like reading the sacred texts of other religions, insightful – boring – and dumb all at the same time. Like a mystery novel.)
