Insight from my kids

I love, really love, talking with my teenage children.  Somehow the topic on the way to drop them at their respective schools today got into the difference between being “child like” and being “childish.”

Their conclusions:

Child like – innocent, without negative motives, trusting, admiring, with faith and love.

Childish – immature for your age, manipulative, negative, with selfish intent.

I’m always amazed at the observations my kids make about people and situations, and even more that they are able to use those observations to form solid standards and gain understanding about the world around them.
