Seriously? I’m astounded at this statement

You might not have any idea what GAFCON is, but you can read all about it here. The Jerusalem Declaration, the official statement to which the quote below refers, is here.

Much of the Anglican world must be lamenting the latest emission from GAFCON. Anglicanism has always been broader than some find comfortable. This statement does not represent the end of Anglicanism, merely another chapter in a centuries-old struggle for dominance by those who consider themselves the only true believers. Anglicans will continue to worship God in their churches, serve the hungry and needy in their communities, and build missional relationships with others across the globe, despite the desire of a few leaders to narrow the influence of the gospel. We look forward to the opportunities of the Lambeth Conference for constructive conversation, inspired prayer, and relational encounters.

I’m astounded that the leader of the Episcopal Church would be so unkind, inaccurate and intolerant as she is above.  I just really have nothing else to say about that. If you do, the comments are open.

Behind her arrogance is a really vicious personality which delights in legal vendettas. She and David Booth Beers will probably do a great deal to destroy the Episcopal Church. She speaks of a broad range of views in the Anglicanism, but goes out of her way to defeat anyone expressing a conservative view.

When I read this statement yesterday on the Episcopal website I was astounded by the intolerence of a person who claims to be so tolerant. I’m sad about the state of affairs in which we find ourselves as Episcopalians and Anglicans. If our leaders can’t get it together, we must! Thankfully we in the Diocese of Albany have a leader who stands firm on the Gospel truths and isn’t willing to swerve. My course of action in all of this is to teach our youth the truth of the Gospels, the parables, and what Jesus came to teach us and the saving grace in all of it. Show our youth why we sustain all of this in a world that is changing every moment… because the real truth doesn’t change, no matter how much someone in an elected position feels the need to change things for a misunderstanding of her own.

    Blachhhhh… NEXT!
