My family has discovered the Nintendo Wii game system thanks to our hosts. They’ve played Wii bowling and Wii golf quite a few times today. The best part? Tim, Cathie and Tom have been playing together. In the routines of “normal life” that just doesn’t get to happen, so it’s worth the price of admission without a doubt.
Today we visited Romeo Church, which got high marks from all the members of the family. We were warmly welcomed within moments of walking through the door by someone who explained where to find coffee and told us about some of the things going on at the church. They’ve worked hard to make improvements to their facility, broaden their ministry to all age groups and are making a priority of serving their community. We were blessed to worship and hear the Word with their congregation today.
Tomorrow, Adam and I are going to visit one of our YMX advertisers (www.thepoddrop.com) to get Tim’s ipod battery replaced, and we’ll get out the YMX newsletter. In the evening the Gibbons’ are heading to Comerica Park to see the Detroit Tigers play the Minnesota Twins.
