churchwindow.jpgIf someone were to look through the windows of your church during a worship service, what would they see?  If that same someone could hear what was going on, what would they hear?  Would what that person sees and hears move them to know more about what they saw, what they heard or who was gathered?  How would they describe the scene to someone else?

If someone from inside the church was to look out the windows at what surrounds their worship service, what would they see?  What would they hear?  Would what they saw and heard move them to know more?  How would they describe the scene to someone else?

The views are very different.

    this is very interesting!

the first thing I thought about was that most people looking ‘in’ the window to our churches would probably not be ‘drawn’ to come in…

then it occured to me that for many (if not most) youth – the view outside the window is much more appealing than what is going on inside…

    this is a problem…

Thanks, MB. I like the perspective you have on it.

I’m still thinking it through myself, but it’s what I came away from church thinking about today. Not surprisingly for me, it has nothing to do with anything we did there today!

Interesting…I came away from church with something similar yesterday. I’ve been having some great discussions with non-believers lately, and the questions they’ve been asking gave me a fresh set of eyes during worship yesterday.

I want to hear your thoughts!
