Xbox nightmare follow-up: customer service does exist!

adapter.jpgIn the final installment of our long and sorry tale, I spoke with Jessica M just a short while ago.  You might remember that she emailed me following my absolutely frustrating and insulting experience(s) with the Xbox 360 phone support line.

After trading a couple of voicemails, Jessica and I connected today, and what she had to say was even better than my request of getting credit for the adapter we were misled about.  In fact, not only did she give us credit (in the form of a check requested the day she emailed me, should arrive in a week but she’s going to call to make sure it has arrived) but she also insisted we keep the new adapter at no charge.  I told her, honestly, that the free adapter was unnecessary but much appreciated.  She said, “No, we want you to get back to gaming as soon as possible; you’ve been delayed long enough.”  To add a further element of actual customer service, Jessica asked that we keep her number as she is “quite tech savvy with the system” and would be happy to help us anytime.

So, yeah.  Tim’s playing Guitar Hero right this moment to celebrate.  And, he says I’m “da mom”… can’t really lose on that one, can I? I’m going to write a note to Mr. Bach letting him know that Jessica is all about customer service.
